Dean Milano Trio

Milwaukee native Dean Milano moved to Chicago in 1964 to pursue music.

Over a 50-year career, he performed with 75+ bands across rock and roll, folk, country, bluegrass, jazz, Cajun, showtunes, and more. A fixture of Chicago’s folk scene since the 1970s, he played with the Casualaires and the Singing Bananas at venues like Orphan’s, Somebody Else’s Troubles, the Bulls, and the Earl of Old Town.

In the early 1980s, he toured for four years with The New Seekers, singing “Georgy Girl.” In 2006, he began writing original songs and released three CDs.

His music aired on WFMT Midnight Special, WDCB Folk Festival, WXRT Local Anesthetic, WNUR Folk Show, and 130+ stations in 20 countries. In 2012, he hosted WFMT’s Sweet Folk Chicago and appeared on WGN, WCPT, and WGN TV News.
