Formally named Maurizio, he grew up bilingual in a traditional Italian household. Singing in a youth choir, he toured Italy and performed before the Pope in Rome. In 1984, at 22, he formed the rock band Broken Heart, which toured college circuits under various names including "1313," "The Dream Police," and "The Big Band Rodeo." In 1992, Maurizio gained recognition as a runner-up on the TV show Star Search, shifted his music style from Rock to Pop, and adopted the stage name Tony Ocean, inspired by Sinatra's Danny Ocean in Ocean's 11.
Tony's vibrant style celebrates timeless music from icons like Sinatra, Martin, Davis, Darin, and Bennett, resonating deeply with audiences. Tony frequently appears on Chicago TV and radio, performing nationwide every weekend.
