Peter M. Carlino has been the Chairman Emeritus of our Board of Directors since June 2019 and currently has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. (NASDAQ: GLPI) since its inception in February 2013. Mr. Carlino was the founder of PENN and served as our Chief Executive Officer of PENN from 1994 through October 2013. Mr. Carlino also served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PENN from 1994 through May 2019. Since 1976, Mr. Carlino has served in an executive capacity for Carlino Capital Management Corp. and is currently the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Carlino Capital Management Corp. is a holding company that owns and operates various Carlino family businesses. Mr. Carlino also serves on the Board of Directors for both Penn State Health and Penn State Health/St. Joseph Regional Health Network.
